    local stores selling disc high

I'll pay 9 for dx, 15 for champion and 18 for star plastic without dye. I'd have to think adding a nice dye job and charging $21 - $25 for a $15 disc is the only way to do it. They would sell less discs, but make more profit per disc. Either that or sell someone 6 discs for cheap then...

    The first disc you pwned?

175 tie dye champion teebird. Early on everything I threw was 50/50 whether it would do what I wanted or not except that disc. Even if I was playing bad I'd always be money with it. If I find who took it I'm probably going to jail.

150 ft throw by 6 year old girl

He threw it with anni for an S curve so could be right. If it's anything like what happens when I do that I'd doubt the accuracy more than the distance.

    Music

Doh, I bought a non-usb speaker. It fits really nice in my innova competition bag though. I put one of my rags underneath it so that it sits higher in the pocket and doesn't muffle the sound. The mp3 player got put into the pocket on the right.

    players pack

I don't know if you have a need for a mid, but if they are only selling innova at the tourney see if you can toss a 175 champion mako a few times. That and my 175 champion teebird are the most predictable discs in my bag(rhbh).

2 kids really messes with your form.

It looks like your hips are coming open when the disc is still behind your left shoulder. Try and get the disc further across your chest before pulling out. Also you might gain a little power from pulling the disc across lower on your body.

    Music

I just bought some altec speakers close to those last night on amazon. Wish my car had a usb port, but I don't think the did those back in '96! I almost got some better earbuds, but it's hard to hear people talk with them in.

    Music

What are some good setups to bring music on the course? I've got a mp3 player, but when I get to try ripping a disc hard sometimes the earphones come out. Also if someone tries to talk to me I may or may not hear them. I played with a guy last weekend that had something in his bag that played...

Compiling board posts into a coherent article

MB, Could whoever uploads the new video put a link to this site in the description or something? For me the video was what showed me that there is actually technique that can be learned (not just some people got it and some people don't) so maybe a link to a good article for anyone who wants...

    Critique appreciated.

Try waiting until you can see what you are throwing at to start your pull out and it should give you a slight pause at your pec area. You're pulling the disc through at a steady speed instead of accelerating at the end. After you see the target pull out and focus on snapping the disc hard at...

Compiling board posts into a coherent article

Would it make sense to put a link to Dan's working from the hit back video and Bradley's snap 2009 videos somewhere in the introduction? I was thinking maybe a disclaimer that if you can't throw an a,b or c disc "400/425/?" consistently then check out these other threads first and watch the...

Let Me Hit You With Some Knowledge - Mental Technique

I'm generally the choker type when I start having a bad round and get pissed. In basketball when someone starts acting like a douchebag I've usually gotten a lot better, but all of the disc golfers I've met so far were cool as hell so this is no help. :-) A guy I work with has been a golfer for...

    The "Pause" during the throw...

I've had to focus on tucking the disc to my shoulder before pulling out to get the pause/slowdown. When I focus on pausing my hips directly the throw is trash. I have to think about something else that indirectly slows my hips. Maybe I'm just uncoordinated. The last few days in the field...

    Too much nose down?

I've seen discs do that on windy days. I always assumed it was the tailwind affecting the glide, but can't say for sure.

    Maxing out @ 300ft...

When I read this about the goal to launch a disc it made me think of Nolan Ryan's book when he said that if someone wants to throw fastballs faster then they should practice a lot throwing fastballs. Both of yall are right on. I'm one of those people who was trying to get my arm moving fast...
