Local Hot Spot
Nice North Raleigh location, has been my "home course" for 20 years. Plenty of parking especially if you use the Spring Forest entrance and start on #12. Very good variety of woods, and open shots....and some challenging holes mixed with a few ace- able holes. The pond on #7...

Not my favorite
Great neighborhood course if you live nearby. Decent variety of wooded and open holes. The overall park is nice and well suited for families.
Parking will be brutal during baseball season. Traffic in and out of the park on the roads surrounding and crossing the course is...
The course in Raleigh mentioned, was probably Kentwood. I've seen cops there before. They will bust you for 3 things: Dogs off leashes, smoking dope, alcohol.
I suffer from chronic back pain...lower back specifically. There are a few simple yoga stretches you can do to really help keep your back loose. I can play two rounds, and my back only gets sore from bending and picking up discs and my bag. The throwing does no hurt my back oddly enough. The...
I can't think of any reason for an Am or Rec player to join, it's very expensive, and I don't think the benefits are worth it. Maybe for Pros, but that's it. I'm always shocked at the annual dues the PDGA charges.
Keep an eye on Craigslist....I see baskets on there from time to time. I bought mine that way. As for the numbers of holes, with 3 baskets, you can make a 9 hole course, just make alternate tee-pads.
I mentioned the "wear" in my post too. I rotated two Warlocks on the course the other day, and for some putting practice. They show a considerable amount of wear for one days' use. They have nicks and chips all around the rim. They will surely "break in" fast.....not sure how that's going to...
I like my Z Buzzzs the best for straight shots. When I need less overstable, I throw ESP Buzzz. For me the Z goes arrow straight, the ESP will turn right. that's my simpleton explanation. (I'm the simpleton). I have several of each type of Buzzz, and my statement holds true for all of the ones I...
That's what I heard/thought when I ordered them. But today, in side by side putting comparisons, the Warlock definately favored a left turn heading towards the basket...or more importanly, to the left of the basket. I practiced putting for about 30 minutes waiting for my partner to show up...
Here's my quick amatuer opinion of the Warlock. I ordered 3 soft Warlocks. For starters, they are much softer and gripper than any supersoft Wizard I've ever handled. I love the feel of the new plastic...whatever it is. Similar density and firmess to the Evo plastic, but gummy and not slick. I...
Kinda off topic, but I went out in the yard to practice putting today, and my putters felt so soft! Of course it was 75* out...the last time I putted, last weekend, it was 45* out.....but the plastic felt so much more pliable. I think I had gotten used to cold stiff plastic.
