Yes, writing a private message threatening or otherwise uninvited is disgraceful. If you think Johne sucks then why not just challenge Johne to a round for $100... You know like a duel with discs? I'm sure he'd throw the round with his left hand and still beat everyone on here by 5 strokes...
I don't know have you earned the right to be salty? jk..Apparently he didnt know where he was. Anyways, I just watched the smashboxx interview post tourney with Paul. He says Johne apologised on the next tee for acting like that and everything was cool. So, I guess its squashed and really a non...
I never said he wasn't being salty, he totally was. In my opinion, as a 20+ year player with (not sure exactly) 300 PDGA wins, mid 40's and still going stroke for stroke with the best half his age, I think he deserves to get a little salty when someone takes off and disrupts the flow of the lead...
If he did tell them, then I will have a different opinion. But we don't know for sure, except for what Johne said. As far as I know, nobody in that group has contested it.
OK, I'm not gonna wind up the crowd here. I'm guessing nobody was there. Maybe we will find out more later, but so far only one person has spoke. We shall see.
I guess only the guys on the tee really know. Until one of them disputes what he said, I will stand by the word of the only guy there that has spoken about it.
Same thing with me. He was fantastic. I also met Wysocki and he was a good funny dude. I tried to meet Paul once, but he blew me off like I was a bug. I respect his game though.
This was my original thought that I conveyed earlier. Definitely a lot of McBeth apologisers on here. I guess Johne's salty way of doing the right thing was a result of the top pro disrespecting the group. A lot of responses I got were that McBeth told everyone... turns out to be false. I don't...
Thanks, puts the whole situation in perspective. I was following a thread on the feed and some boards and everyone was up in arms for someone to call a time violation. Well... it happened. LOL. Should be an interesting season.
I never said it was tactful. I met him, he was great to me and my son. No other pro has treated us like that. Who knows what got under his skin, we can speculate all we want really. He will continue to be our favourite pro.
Gotcha.. am I wrong in thinking that if Philo does not throw after McBeth says he has to piss, this whole thing doesn't happen? Should Paul have warned himself by the spirit of the rule?
1 more thing, the feed of the tournament, showed Johne taking scores for everyone... anyone else catch that? I assumed everyone kept their own. I've been to some big tournaments and never noticed this before until I watched the youtube feed.
