* For the first week of registration you must be a current SoCal DGC member in order to register. If you are not a current SoCal DGC member and register anyway I will gently refund your registration and remove you from the event. If, after the first week, there is still room then the event will be open to all.
2021 So Cal Series Amateur Championships Presented by Innova and Friends - Saturday/Sunday, November 13/14 (PDGA B-Tier and SoCal Series)
Cachuma Lake Recreation Area, Santa Barbara - the Cachuma/Upper Course and the Mohawk course
Its time to go back to lovely Santa Barbara! We will be playing three rounds of 18 holes, two rounds on Saturday and one round on Sunday, all at the excellent Cachuma Lake disc golf courses that have become quite a destination. There will be two pools of up to 72 players each. Pools will be constructed based upon the numbers of registrants in each division. A very brief, socially distanced and informal award ceremony will take place on Sunday after completion of the third round.
Two important things that all who wish to register need to read and know:
1) THIS IS A TROPHY-ONLY EVENT. Trophies will be awarded to the top finishers in each division. For larger divisions there will be trophies for the top three finishers, for smaller divisions it will be for the top one or two finishers (we will be generous). What this means is that we are playing for the pleasure of competition and one another's company, a shot at a trophy finish and a chance to play an event at a really great facility. And, as we have shown the last couple of years, the trophies will be very nice. There will be no other prizes awarded. Coming in 7th in MA3, MA50 or any other division will not get you two discs and a sticker!
Accordingly, all players will receive a generous players pack which will include two custom 2021 SoCal Champs event stamped premium discs with the very cool custom stamp designed by Skulboy (thank you Innova and Legacy!), a collared polo shirt and an Innova camp stool/seat. If we sell a bunch of CFR discs - see below- we'll get some more goodies. In addition to the players pack, entry fees will cover course green fees, sanctioning and insurance, and fees of $3 to the PDGA and $2 to SoCal Disc Golf Club for all. $10 will be charged and paid to the PDGA for each non- or non-current PDGA member, $5 additional if not a current SoCal DGC member (if that becomes relevant).
2) We're still playing under COVID conditions and protocols, so know the following:

* Cancellation/refund policy: See link for the PDGA's amendment to the Competition Manual, 1.03: https://www.pdga.com/announce...d-temporarily
* In summary, if the pandemic goes bad again and if governmental guidelines and mandates change and we are unable to play, all Ams will somehow receive the custom event players pack including shipping costs (and less DGU processing fee). Which would be a royal pain in the… Let's hope that doesn't happen and please do your part.

CFR discs - you're going to want one: After a couple of years of going back and forth, our own local disc golfer and outstanding artist Duncan "Skulboy" Crawford has taken a spin on the traditional SoCal van logo. It's simply bitchin' and I'm very grateful for his work. We thus have some fine custom stamped CFR discs for sale as well. How about Vintage Champion Firebirds (in the 160s, FAF, very cool swirls in the plastic) and Color Glow Teebirds (your choice)? All proceeds from CFR sales will go to increase the player packs.
