Episode 33 of Disc Golf Live video magazine is in the hands of our broadcast partners across the country. DGL is a one-hour show released every two months for broadcast on local community and public access stations. (Also available on DVD for home delivery.)
This episode celebrates disc golf clubs and their role in growing our sport. Using footage from Abe Arenas, we take a look at how the Fox Valley Metro Disc Golf Club in Illinois came about, and enjoy some footage of their Jericho Lake Ice Bowl as well. We get a look at a new two-course complex in Michigan brought about through the efforts of the Local 101 Disc Golf Player's Union as we follow the action at their Loco IV tournament. (The Loco title isn't decided until the last hole where several discs meet a watery end.) Spicing things up, we also have a fresh ace from Louisiana, provided by Joe Todd. And the always irreverent but lovable guys known as the Guardians of Recreation offer their latest take on the game of disc golf.
Thanks to the addition of many program downloads (via www.PEGmedia.org) our broadcast list now tops 100 station from coast to coast. If you'd like a copy to submit to your station, give us a shout, our broadcast DVDs are always free. And, if you've got a video story to share, we're always looking for interesting stories to share about our favorite sport.
