This is my setup that I use In my backyard to help me practice when it's too dark out. Suggestions would be nice. The lights I used are the battery operated led strip lights.
I didn't expect them to last long or work after being smashed but after a good 6 months of being in my backyard battling my discs and the elements like beasts they are still running strong. They are cheap and they just keep on going. I weaved them in between my chains and around my basket.

I go to the course with lighted discs and a 1000 lumen, zooming lens flashlight. I strap it to a lightweight tripod and set it up at each station/lie from tee pad to putt... zooming out as I go. In a group, just make sure the lights not in anyone's eyes as you close in on the basket. If it's a blind hole, I will zoom out to highlight the first set or two of potential obsticals.

There's no reason not to play hassle free at night.

I use an LED waterproof floodlight http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009E89QBS/ref=pe_385040_121528360_TE_dp_1. I attached it to a 10 foot 2x4 near the top and buried it two feet in the ground to put it at about eight feet off the ground. I planted it about 20 feet from the basket and it puts out a ton of light. I could have moved it back further easily.
