Well, 4 of the 6 may of reached the Atlantic Ocean by now. The 5th in a deep lake. The 6th I keep peaking in the bushes, but likely found by now if someone was foolish enough to go bush diving. A couple of years ago I treated a snake bite victim on the same course. I know where not to be foolish.@lee76007 That's a bummer. Have only lost one disc this year. Pink DX Wraith at Ionia State Park DGC. Forget which hole. Pulled a Richard, & grip locked the heck out of it. Hope you find yours or someone gets them back to you.
Going for a 70 footer from above that basket would never even cross my mind. Pretty sure Hole 2 is the only Par 3 out there that I have birdied L-L.6th disc of the year last month Waller Mill Williamsburg Virginia an Electron Envy, on a heavily wooded course with death putts and approaches. Long to long is 9700 feet, and I've never had a birdie on a par 3. #9 hit a tree at about the 260 foot mark, had to go for the 70 foot putt. Missed right, down the embankment and into the lake. 3rd putter lost on the hole, 6 putters lost on the course in 4 1/2 years.
That's unbelievable! I would have walked past that all day!Had a wild one today. Almost lost a disc on hole 4 at Tower Park dgc. Knew the area where it landed but didn't see it come to a stop. Started looking everywhere in that area. After 5-10mins was getting discouraged. It's a fairly open fairway. Also, the disc was blue. Had another player catch up to me & help look. Tells me one time, he had a disc wedge in between two tree branches. When he got to the tree it was gone. Said it was like the tree ate it. I figured the disc just unwedged itself & maybe rolled away after it fell. Either way, shortly after this story I catch a glimpse of blue. And where I see this blows my mind. It was in a tree! The tree was partially knocked over & the disc was inside the base where the tree cracked open. So weird. One of if not the craziest spots one of my discs ended up from a drive. It won't let me upload video. Here's a pic though to help paint the picture. I don't understand how it got in there.View attachment 346243
I think a lot of people would walk past that several times without ever seeing it. Looks like one of those that you got to see from just the right angle, otherwise you'll never find itHad a wild one today. Almost lost a disc on hole 4 at Tower Park dgc. Had to do it for the first birdie on L to L. It was a beaten up used putter for the risk of losing it. I have made two birdies S to L, the first last year C3, and again this year C2. I no longer go for C3, I'll just toss it short.Going for a 70 footer from above that basket would never even cross my mind. Pretty sure Hole 2 is the only Par 3 out there that I have birdied L-L.
Unfortunately, that's true. You might find purchasing multiples of golf discs that suit your game to take some of the sting of loss out. Also don't totally give up on a disc or two returning. Has happened both quickly (days) and not so quickly (years) for me.I guess playing more means losing more discs. Left my Star Invader behind today. If I don't get it back that'll be three gone forever this year. I think I'll stick to Harps and Pilots as my flick upshot approach discs for now.
