This is a fundraising event for an amazing local organization Julie's Purse Project (JPP) and the 2021 Women's Global Event presented by the PDGA Women's Committee!
This is an unsanctioned fundraising tournament with a limited player's pack and trophy only. The companion tournament is a women's-only PDGA C-Tier WGE fundraising event to raise funds for Julie's Purse Project. 100% of the net proceeds will benefit Julie's Purse Project.
Ladies, please consider signing up for the Sanctioned WGE Event on May 8 and 9 at http://dgscene.com/wge-juliespurseproject
JPP Started in the fall of 2015 and is now a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The initial mission was to give back to those in need during the holidays. It has since grown into a year-round non-profit organization collecting new and gently used purses and filling the purses with essential items that women would want or need in their purses if they were starting over with nothing.
Who Benefits from the Purses?
The filled purses are delivered to nonprofit organizations throughout Northern California directly helping and impacting the lives of sex trafficking and domestic violence survivors, women being released from incarceration, Camp Fire survivors, and our homeless women
What Goes Inside of a Purse?
Anything you feel you would need if starting over with nothing, Toothbrush, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, hair ties, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, comb, brush, new makeup, new lip balm, condoms, mittens, scarf, poncho and so much more.
2021 Women's Globel Event
On May 8th and 9th, women from all around the world will play two rounds of disc golf at their local participating PDGA Women's Global Event. Scores from the first two rounds of each participating tournament will be submitted by the individual tournament directors and rated by the PDGA. These round ratings will be totaled and averaged to determine the player's "Global Score."
The Global Scores will be updated throughout the day to determine our PDGA Women's Global Event Champions and the winner in each division will receive a memorable trophy. More details can be found at https://www.pdga.com/women/global-event and https://www.facebook.com/womensglobalevent/
