What is the best angle of release

Way too many variables to answer. Generally, the best angle for any specific disc is one that gets it out flat about halfway in its flight and fades (low speed overstability) the least to get the most length on the throw. The high speed stability is the main factor in disc angle release. The lower stability, the more tendency it has to turn over past flat, so more hyzer angle is needed to compensate to let it flip up to flat. You have to experiment with the discs you have to really see.

Was throwing in a field with a friend yesterday. Was specifically learning what discs to throw for distance into a strong wind. The surprise of the day was a huge throw with a roadrunner. My friend released it with the most hyzer I've ever seen. Dang thing may have even been perpendicular to the ground. It turned without hitting the ground and then just glided.
