When can a player classified as "professional" play amateur events? Im asking because my wife played a few professional events and earned some cash last year. when she renewed her pdga this year they made her sign up as professional. Now this was all ok until we realized a player in my advanced master division is classified as a pro as well. How can a professional play in an amateur division? Im looking for clarification for my wife going forward. I want to clarify that I have no problem with the guy in my division. I dont know him. He is also not pdga current. Im asking for my wife.
Here is a link to the tourney.

My wife is amy canter.

Just check out the bottom section of this table to see what ratings a pro can be and still cross over to play an Am division. Amy's rating is low enough to continue to play Advanced if she wishes and play pro when she wants to until her rating gets above 924.

Note that this is for advanced women. She can play in the advanced division up to a 970 rating. This is also for non-majors. Pros cannot play amateur majors, but can play in A-tiers and lower.
