Where you coming to in CA?
Any first impressions on CA and the courses you have played? I have played over 700 courses in 30 states . . . but none west of MN, IA, KS, OK, TX . . . looking forward to some winter trips out west.

Lol yep, lots a stellar courses added this year. It gets fuzzy actually putting numbers to these courses as many of them could be interchanged depending on the time of day.This guy has been on a mission lately, playing great courses all over the east.
How bout an update ?
my top 5
1. Idlewild- hands down best course in Cincinnati
2 Mt. Airy- The amount of work that goes into this course is amazing. love the pro shop.
3. Banklick- Amazing use of land and great variety of shots.
4. Osage- Still rough and will eat you alive with thorns. when completely finished should be #2.
5. Ashe County- Amazing scenary and amazing holes. Just love this course.

I have only played courses that are around Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC, so I do not have a great list. Any recommendations for me would be great!

Well, obviously you're starting with excellent courses in the Charlotte area. But the area in the mountains around Boone, NC oughtta be your first field trip. Ashe County, Blackjack, and whatever else you find up there.
