Pros:
Surprising mix of hills and trees in an old growth park. What I mean by old growth is the trees are large and mature but there is plenty of room to play under them. There are some steep slopes which give challenge to the coarse as well. The last hole is a tight long straightaway that narrows to about 10 feet halfway down then expands back out to only 15 or so and was so challenging it ruined a lot of our scores. It was totally awesome.
Beautiful park with a deep stream and small pond as well as a sunken house foundation and old stone wall in it. Worth walking through even if not playing.
Cons:
The first 7 holes wrap back around to the starting point then you need to walk past a pavilion to the next T which isn't visible. Once there the last 2 holes T's are almost side by side. You play one then walk back and play the other and both go away from the starting point.
Parking isn't well laid out.
Other Thoughts:
We went to Ariens DGC in Auburn then to this one in Peru. Had a pleasant 18 holes and a really good time.
The baskets were made by Ariens in Auburn and need 1 more strip around the middle to keep discs from falling out through the sides.
