I think it is important to entertain differences in presentation and promote awareness of ideas even if or especially when they differ from my own. I am also willing to "take the hit" for any such post given my role in co-crafting Fundamentals.I almost wanted to post this one as well but decided against it because not sure what good can come out of it. But im glad you posted it instead.
Oh thank god I wasn't the only one.For the videos I've seen so far: I get a high pitched car salesman vibes (Trent vibes).
I'm SO sceptical of this project. Seems like the social media team is great with this one and there's some sort of financial thing coming in the future. Even though he says there isn't, I have my doubt.
Did you see his grip videos yet? You're gonna love it buddy!Oh thank god I wasn't the only one.
He's building hype like a salesman.
for his 16 part series.
And he's approaching it with the Magic Pill / Secret Sauce method to grab viewers.
The goal is to make youtube money and pull a sponsor if he can.
Speaking of sponsors. I have decided that I'm just gonna hardcore rep Levi/Pound from now on despite him not being a sponsor.

I watched the grip video. Literally 3:50 just to say grip it loose.I think that was the one I clicked on, and it was SOOOO cringe that I turned it off. I'm not gonna sit and watch 3 minutes of it.
But I skipped in a bit and started watching.
And... I got car salesman vibes so hard...
And its just some dude in like a 110 degree shed sweating and out of breath.
And I'm just like "yep, Coach T jr"
What was it he said. "if you're not tired from throwing a disc, your'e doing it wrong."
Would be fun to have him play like we did the other day.
36 holes and an average of 5 or 6 drives per hole.
Come on bro. Show us that form. =)
Just keep watching, I'll tell you the absolute secret coming up.I watched the grip video. Literally 3:50 just to say grip it loose.
The entire thing is a commercial, period. It is presented as a commercial, the one piece of information is given out like a little gift to try to draw you in to watch more or subscribe or buy his product or whatever... and it is simply bad information.
Why would I want to watch more?
But I don't think he's a car salesman, I think he's a True Believer. And it's not impossible that his series will help some people, if he sets up a logical progression of things to practice with good detail.
I have a thought about the loose grip thing (which he contradicts in the second rubber band video, by the way, where he says grip it hard from the reachback.) and his violent upper body whip. He hasn't measured anything but he's pretty sure about his hand speed etc. His dry swings do look pretty fast. They also look pretty close to his body - no radius to that arc.
If you're fast and athletic, brace well and have quick arm speed, I'd say absolutely.Makes me wonder sometimes if a slight collapse on a good rotated swing where you try and push to the pocket and out at the same time can create an explosive hit without actually over taxing your shoulder from being collapsed.
That's not the part that should scare you.I appreciate everyone else sitting through his spiel - seems like it can be summed up as grip loose and brace well, and then throw as hard as you can?
He's clearly excited and I'm glad he wants to put in the time and effort to share his revelation. That comment thread Sheep posted above me should be mandatory reading before you watch all his videos. I'd genuinely like to see how his method translates to the course.
