Very technical, winding fairways.
Great distances and variety, from a few under 200' to a monster 700 footah.
Pads are solid and level.
Has rest benches along the way and halfway in has a roofed picnic area with a portapotty (well maintained).
Has camping right on the course and can play as much as you want when you do.
Prices are very reasonable.
Great environment/atmosphere & great owners.
Course is well maintained and tree placement is phenomenal.
Has rentals on site.

Not much of a pro shop, few discs to choose from.
Not enough parking for how popular the course is.

The Twisted is my favorite of the 18 hole courses at Acker's. This was a most recent addition and has been a blast to play every time. The variety in hole distances combined the technical requirements of this course is pure bliss.

I've played many other courses in Maine and this is my absolute favorite. The owners, Dave and his wife, are great people. You won't find a friendlier bunch. The relaxed atmosphere is very welcome. If I play disc with anyone, my first choice is always Acker's Acres.
