Go with a local 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 23, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- Set in a nice park.
- Challenging
- Mix of shots
- Never crowded
- Trash cans
- Very wooded
- It is a lot of fun if you know the course well.

Cons:

- Pole holes
- Dirt tee pads
- No hole signs marking distance and location of pin. (or location of next tee pad)
- No parking lot (parking on residential streets)
- becomes extremely over grown during parts of the year.

Other Thoughts:

For the first time out to this course I would recommend going with someone who knows the course. If you go at it alone you might see someone out there that can show you around, but that person you see is just as likely to be as lost as you are. I played my first time there with some locals and now I love the course because of how challenging it is and it is a nice break from the crowds at OV.

Why are there poles? 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 8, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Its not crowded like all the other courses in the Sacramento area. Its quiet and you can easily finish a round in an hour.

Cons:

There are no baskets, lots of brush and trees.

Other Thoughts:

The reason there are no baskets or course redesign is due to its location. The course was almost removed due to the large crowds, drinking and trash. If there were baskets at the course, it would be overrun and eventually closed. Check out www.muthaputters.net for any course information or events calendar.
