No long holes 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 27, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Some variety
- difficult to lose a disc

Cons:

- pretty easy
- no long holes
- difficult to navigate

Other Thoughts:

Not a bad course if you're in the area. There weren't any opportunities to use a distance driver, and I only needed a fairway driver a couple times. There are a lot of mostly open short holes. The course gets confusing to navigate in the back half.

Typical City/Park Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 30, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

For a small 12 hole beginner course, it actually offers a decent amount of variety. There is some elevation change, along with a few holes in the woods, which offers a nice change of pace. Overall, the tee pads, baskets, and signs are in decent shape. There are some dirt tee pads on the last few holes in the woods, which is fine, they could definitely be in worse condition. There are plenty of birdie and ace opportunities to be had while playing this course.

Cons:

The course is often quite busy, which can be expected with a short, recreational course. As stated above, some concrete tee pads on the holes at the end would also be nice to throw off of, especially on hole 12. Also, a few of the baskets are in rough somewhat rough shape.

Other Thoughts:

It's definitely a great course to work on your short game and some of your technical shots in the woods. It's also a good course to warm-up on before playing a larger course or if you're short on time. I would say it's at least worth checking out if you are in the area.

Over Rated! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 6, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Close to the twin cities. Some cement tees. Nice big discatcher pro baskets. Nice retaining walls and staircases. A few nice wooded holes. Overall, well kept.

Cons:

Very short. If you are a pro, the first time you MAY need a driver is the last hole. In the heart of suburbia, therefore too many people, usually lacking common sense/etiquette.

Other Thoughts:

More aesthetically pleasing than technically difficult. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice little course, but anyone who gave it better than a 3.0 needs to find some new places to throw...

Beginner 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 21, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Course is set in a city park, split between the typical recreation area and some thicker woods. Possible interference from casual park goers on some of the earlier holes.
- A few holes in the park area are pretty fun; #4 is a longer uphill shot with the basket on a slope by the woods, #5 is a nice elevated shot through or around a grove of trees, with the basket on a turtle shell green. #7 is a 90 degree hyzer with the second half uphill, with a blind pin position. Most holes out here have some trick, like a protected basket on #1, a sharp hyzer on #2, and little RHBH anny line on #3.
- Pins in the woods are a good change of pace. #11 is a fun downhill hyzer with nasty rough on all sides, and #12 is a tough uphill RHBH flex shot that plays much longer than the 347'. The other wooded holes are a good mix of hyzers and anhyzers,
- Elevation changes are used well here, #5 and #11 are good downhill shots, and #12 is a very tough uphill shot. There are a few basket locations on fairly steep inclines which adds some excitement as well.
- Good concrete pads in the open, natural teepads in the woods aren't too shabby considering the amount of play the course gets. Signs are good enough, navigation isn't too bad, but the map helps in a few spots like after #8. Baskets are in OK condition, though #11's is in bad shape. Practice basket by the parking lot.

Cons:

- A lot of very short holes here, with four under 185', and another five under 300'. Those in the woods, with the exception of #12, are especially small. A lot of dinkers here.
- Some pretty long walks in between holes, especially from #9 to #10, and #11 to #12.
- A couple holes play right next to the park entrance road, which is never a good thing. Seems like a busy place with constant traffic.

Other Thoughts:

- All in all, a pretty fun course that is definitely better suited to beginners. There are some tougher holes, with tricky lines and good elevation changes, but the majority are pretty short or pretty straightforward. Worth checking out for a fast round, though more advanced players won't be too excited.

Short Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 4, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice course through the trees. Lends it self to good skill shots.

Cons:

Short course. It was crowded when I played it and from talking to people on the course it sounds like it is always crouded.

Other Thoughts:

I liked that the signs gave par for each hole.
