Pros:
3.5 - Very Good in the Winter. Might drop to a 3.0 in the rainy season. We played it in February and it was mostly dry with a couple of easily avoidable squishy spots here and there and a few swampy areas on the perimeter of some of the course. The wet areas probably expand during the summer months and I could see the mosquitos becoming a problem.
The course has very nice tees and signage and makes the best of the available scenic terrain. The course plays like two courses in one with two tees and two baskets on each hole with the option to play them individually or play from one tee to the other tees basket.
The course is very close to I-75 and I-10 and easily accessible and worthy of a stop on the way by providing it's not too wet. The course would also be good for a local weekly throw or league round.
The course was fun and pleasant to play and everyone in my group enjoyed our round here.
Cons:
Other than the threat of wet feet the only real cons that I could see here was that a couple of tee signs seemed a little off or misleading. Some of the baskets are not easily seen from the tees and first-timers will have to search around a little to find some of the basket placements.
Other Thoughts:
For the first course in the Lake City area, this is a good offering.
