Nice practice course for Thumbers and Spike Hyzers.
Homemade baskets catch well and easy to see.
Good signage with a few missing.
Well marked natural tees.
Flow isn't too bad.
Nice use of elevation.
Not a pitch and putt considering the hole lengths.

Not beginner friendly.
Natural tees.
Longs tees were forgotten on most holes.
No course map.
Maybe a few too many cedars in the way.
Spotter is needed.

Course was in good shape when we played despite the rain from the day before.
Cedar is a different look for the area.
With the 2 open courses in Keene makes an added challenge when in the area.
Just wished the longs were better taken care of so you could play a mix of distance. Shorts are short.
Course map would be a great addition at hole one.
If someone would mark the baskets for the next tee direction would help.
Really enjoyed this course to work on the spike hyzer line.Its just a forgotten part in most peoples game.

Fun little course. Changes in elevation. Some blind shots which gives it a degree of difficulty. Plenty of ace runs.

Baskets are terrible. Natural tee pads could be leveled out. Signs are too close at front of the box

Amigo is a course installed and maintained by Hill College. The student association headed up installation and the maintenance dept. mows and trims the trees and baskets were created by the welding dept. Amigo is situated on the side of a hill covered with Cedar trees and little else. The designer did a good job with the two things he had to work with in laying out the course; cedar trees and elevation. The course forces players to exercise control of midranges and putters with additional challenge added by careful mowing that distinguishes the OB's from the fairway.

The cons of the course tend to shape opinions of visitors more than the pros do. The natural teepads are filled with jutting rocks and badly needed packed and level. The tee signs are too close to the tees and pose real issues for RHBH followthroughs. The baskets though functional have little to no sweet spot and are prone to spit outs. And the cedar trees....

The course can be accessed by driving through the primary entrance to Hill College - Cleburne on 67 Business / Henderson and driving past the campus until the road turns to gravel. Parking is up against the tree line at the end of the road. On your left will be the tee for hole 1 (by the pond) and on your right will be the tee for hole 18.

There was a few good holes but not too many. At least they have a course in the area for the students to be introduced to.

most of the holes were complete blindshots. i like blind shots but not on 70% of the holes
the teepads are dirt and bumpy which was horrible footing

This course was not very fun at all and i couldnt even find holes 17 and 18. Not really worth the drive unless you are trying to play everything in the DFW area.

-Well done signs showing OB lines, length,"to next pad", and other hazards.
-Decent use of terrain on the park granted there isn't much to it.
-Decent flow to the course once you find your way around.
-Some shot varity (blind, short, a few long, overhand and some water)
-Teepads are dirt, but well marked (long +short)

Given that most holes are between the range of 150 ft to 225 ft, the OB lines marked by mowing down the grass in the fairways make this somewhat challenging. Unprecise drives and second shots will land you out of bounds.

Great little course to practice the use of putters for driving, midrange disc practice, and well place overhands.

-Baskets are home made (really tight chain set-up makes for multiple spits)
-Bland course besides the OB lines and cedar tree obsticals.
-Extremely hot course if played in the middle of the day. Not much shade.

Right on the campus of Hill College.

For a small course on the outskirts of the bigcities, it's decent. Not to shabby. Was fun to play and would easily make a 36 hole round if you played both long and short positions.

If you're not into traveling to play disc golf, it really isn't worth passing courses like Bicentenial Park to play this one though it did make for a good time.

I'd advese the builders of this course to put the metel steel rings around the bottom of the chains. That would help immensely with spit outs while putting.

In general, for it's "Grand Opening", this course definately looks as though it was well thought out. Just some minor improvements needed.

We camped at Cleburne State Park (9 miles away) and decided to check out the course. The course uses the local terrain well. The back half does have some shot variety and can provide a challenge. The tee signs are well done and tell you where the next tee is.

The first half has several short holes that are very close together with little variety and challenge. Such as on hole one we thought it was the farther #3 basket and would have chosen different discs had we known it was the close one. I don't mind throwing off dirt pads but the tee signs are too close and I was afraid of hitting one on my follow-through.
Very little shade as the trees are mostly cedar and mesquite. The home-made baskets are neat but several perfect shots bounced out as the chains are attached to a slider sleeve at the bottom that makes them too tight.

We will play this one again anytime we are camping close by but wouldn't make the drive from Fort Worth to play. Glad to see Cleburne get a course and the sport growing.
