Pros:
Good recreational to intermediate level course. Well signed and easy navigation. Bright homemade tee signs and baskets are easy to see. Laser cut metal on both the signs and baskets is aesthetically cool. I like the holes that shoot over the marsh. #6 with the slight downhill tunnel shot was also fun. Teepads are decent length, albeit I'd rather they have had made them wider.
Cons:
Not terribly intimidating for advanced players. Signs are too close to the tee pads. Picnic tables in the way on the east land parcel (holes 1-4 & 9) The homemade baskets, albeit highly visible and having 24 chains don't catch very well. There are holes in the sides of the trays that your disc can (shall I say WILL) fall through. In 36 holes played, I had four putts drop through these holes, one of which was on a tap in. Long walks between the two land parcels. Kids and beginners will have difficulty getting over the marsh on Hole 9.
Other Thoughts:
Good to see a community get behind putting a disc golf course in. My high school had a minor sports rivalry with Auburn and my father ran a furniture store there for about 11 years so it was nice to see this town get on the disc golf map. This wasn't a great piece (or shall I say pieces) of land, but they made the best of what they had. To the south of Hole 2 was a densely wooded parcel that you could put some OMG holes on, but I don't know if that land was part of the park.
The course will help promote disc golf in an area that was lacking a course (the next nearest course to here is 34 miles away)...EDIT...the same company also installed a course at nearby Peru State College. Every bucket helps!
