Pros:
Concrete tee pads, well-manicured grounds, good mix of holes. The course plays really well. In fact, not having been there and not knowing what to expect I was pleasantly surprised. I'll definitely make a return trip as the course offered a challenge while still being a clean municipal park. Sometimes not having to worry about throwing a disc in the woods can be soothing.
These is a map online- I would suggest keeping it up on your phone or printing it as it can be confusing as to where you are headed next and how long the holes are. (Both important bits of information.)
Baskets are decent and catch well- no issues there.
Cons:
No signage as mentioned. May have been at one time but there is at least a post with a number. Also, this is a community park and there are other patrons there- some of the areas overlap into the fairways. We waited while a nice gentleman ambled through the fairway on 13 (not a big deal) but we could not throw off the 17 tee as there was a woman fishing the pond there and we could have hit her. We threw off the nearby footpath instead. So if you like the secluded walk-in-the-woods, by yourself amid the wildlife this isn't the course for you.
Other Thoughts:
As I mentioned- low expectations going in but very positive upon completion. Really liked the integration of the ponds into the layout as they were not necessarily in play. You could take the risk and save a stroke or two if you are confident or you can take a safer route and still par/birdie the hole. We did lose a disc to the water gods but it was due to a completely horrid throw that almost seemed purposeful. LOL
Really liked it- we played the course then followed up with a round at Englewood since it's like 10 minutes away. That made for a great day of frolf and will likely be a do-over. Play the course- you won't be disappointed.
