Cool Course, Needs Signage Badly!! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 30, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Great setting with great views. This course features some great open areas mixed with some pretty cool wooded settings. Lots of throws will need to turn right, but the trees are not so thick that it becomes technical. It is definitely great for a shorter course that's not too far away from downtown Bratt. I agree that the alt. tee for 3 is super cool throwing over the water, just make sure you have the arm or else your disc is done! Speaking of your arm, the open field tees really are a great test on your distance ability, pretty fun polar opposite of playing in the woods.

Cons:

I really don't want to rip on this place, but man is it confusing. If it is your first time expect to be scratching you head a LOT. This really could be alleviated with some signage that can point you in the right direction. Tee 2 basket seems to have moved in comparison to the pics on here....also it has a #8 on it I think? I realize they are salvaged baskets, but without a map or clear course direction, how would someone know? Getting between tees can be confusing too, again - signs. Also, out on the field portions, the tees have no sign, just some old beat up tees that look like (maybe) where you are supposed to go. To be honest, the course is taking on an abandoned feeling in places. There were also strange pictures hanging from several of the baskets, very odd.

Other Thoughts:

Holes 8 and 9 are super fun, great shots to take. It was fairly buggy in the woods, also I got there early and the grass was quite wet just from dew, so be prepared for that.

Nice to see some quality Alt Tees as well.

I would gladly give this course a better score if some signage could be improved. Good local course, definitely not a destination course however.

Could Be Better 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 11, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Tee areas marked by logs were pretty good.

Liked the uniqueness of some of the hole placements, such as hole 3 being suspended on a wire was a great idea, though it's very hard to find initially due to the lack of signs.

Nice views.

Cons:

Definitely needs signage and a course map for the tees, directions to the next hole, etc. Signs were present on holes 1-4 and that was it, and even then was only a par and no footage amount or hole layout on the tees, and a few stray signs leading you to the next hole. I had no idea where the 3rd basket was until I found it suspended through a narrow path behind trees. I spent 10 mins finding hole 5 and never found hole 6, and almost skipped hole 7, but the tee is there and if you look over the hill you'll find the basket.

Hole 2 has an 8 still printed on it (from where it belonged previously I assume) so for a first time player it was confusing.

Hole 5 has no clear walking path between the tee and the basket, and in between is very thick brush. Definitely would be better if it was cleared.

A kiosk with a map of the course and such would be nice (not essential, just would make it better)

Other Thoughts:

I love the potential of what this could be, and some minor changes could make this a pretty decent local course.
