A lot of overgrown trees along the creek on hole 4. Grass was long but being cut.
Diverse and imaginative. Mostly wooded, with a couple open holes. . A good mixture of left and right with elevation mixed in. Beautiful fairways and difficult rough. Risk/reward course. The short holes are very technical.
From the South: Take 86 North. It changes names to S. Main then Central Blvd. Take W. Main St. exit (Rt. 293), and take a right. After 3rd traffic light, turn right into Ballou Park (across street from a strip mall and McDonalds).
From the North: Hwy 29 Business into Danville, approx. 10 mi. Cross the Dan River, through one traffic light, take first exit onto W. Main St. (Rt. 293), and take a right. After 3rd traffic light, turn right into Ballou Park (across street from a strip mall and McDonalds).
To get to Course #2 once in the park, take a left, proceed past the brick building, and take a right after the parking lots. Follow past the playground, staying to the right. Bear left and look for the kiosk on the left. The first pro tee is next to the kiosk.
