Pros:
-solid concrete tee pads on every hole
-very good signage, easy to navigate
-great range of challenging shots required -nice wooded layout, good use of varied terrain
-this course forces you to be accurate off the tee, or be very good at recovery shots
Cons:
-litter is a real issue coursewide
-amorphous groups (4-10 players) tend to slow down play during peak hours
-lack of a bridge over the stream from hole 16-17
Other Thoughts:
If you enjoy tight, wooded courses, then Basil Marella is the place for you. The lines are tight (but fair), and the premium is on accuracy over power. There is not a whole lot of length here, but the challenge is still great in spite of that. My favorite local course for sure!
