Other Thoughts:
Baylor Regional Park disc golf course was established in 2007. In 2019, Carver County Parks eliminated vehicle fees in its parks, making visiting more affordable for everyone.
The 18-hole course welcomes players of all skill levels and is modifiable in difficulty. Shot distance average is nearly 250*/290-300ft per shot (*much lower if you don't include Hole 5's ~500ft par 4). The course features a decent mix of shots with elevation changes, noticeable and slight. Baylor's signature hole #2 has claimed many a golfer's disc in its moat. For an added challenge, you could choose to play the gravel paths as OB, making the fairways and greens more narrowed and defined, requiring drives and approaches to be more precise (Holes 1-5).
The one "major" knock against this hidden gem is the use of natural tee pads. While natural tee pads stay true to the grassroots of disc golf/object golf, pun intended, they become nearly unplayable in rain, causing slick muddy conditions.
In the Summer of 2023, Baylor hosted its first tournament in over a decade (10,000 Lakes DG). Baylor was also an occasional stop for a traveling Sunday league (Westside Birdies).
