Good course for beginners 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 25, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

• Hole signage is more accurate than is found at most courses
• Baskets are in good repair
• The progression from one basket to the next tee pad is generally logical

Cons:

• Grass tee pads
• Baskets are shorter than those found at most courses
• No sign with course map
• Entire first hole is missing
• Second hole tee pad and sign seem to be missing
• Seventh hole differs from map provided on this site
• Very windy (on the day I played it, anyway)

Other Thoughts:

Would be a good course for beginners, since there are few long holes or many with obstacles. Several of the holes cross pedestrian paths, which could be an issue during peak hours of park use. Similarly, several of the holes cross the ball fields, but it seems the course is not set up during baseball season, so this likely is not much of a problem.

Most disconcerting were the apparent lack of a sign featuring the entire course, and the fact that the first hole seemed to be missing, which made actually beginning the course somewhat of a challenge. However, once underway, the layout is pretty logical. So after playing through the eight extant holes once, I was able to play them again without having to refer to the map posted on this site.
