Disappointed... 2+ years drive by

Pros:

This disc golf course is set on a beautiful small college campus. After that, however, I was left reaching for pros.

There were a few holes that required some interesting throws, but for the most part, it was pretty open with some obstacles and guardian trees spread around. All in all, pretty good use of the land all around.

The Disc catcher baskets were in pretty good shape, as was said earlier, they catch pretty well.

Cons:

For the most part, I walked away with far more cons than pros after playing this course.

First of all, navigation. It took me awhile to actually find the course, and with no signage to tell you where to start, I found myself wondering around for a while before I found the first tee.

Thank goodness hole 1 had a tee sign, otherwise, I don't know if I ever would have found the start. However, hole 1 was one of only 4 or 5 holes that actually had tee signs. Otherwise, the worn dirt paths were marked by fence posts, and at least one hole didn't even have a fence post. Maybe it has been neglected during the summer with no school in session, but the reassurance of navigation help is sadly mistaken as of August 2016.

Outside of that, I was disappointed to see two of the baskets were set within 30 feet or so of Aldrich Rd, a very busy highway that borders the course. A long, or off target throw could result in some serious danger.

The used the land well, but this course was definitely crammed into a small space.

Other Thoughts:

Any day playing disc golf is a pretty good day, but I was pretty unimpressed with this course. If you are a student, or live in Bolivar, than this course probably works. If however, you are having to travel 15 minutes or more, don't bother going out of your way.

Pros:

This course is the only one around Bolivar. Holes average 290ft. Small labled bricks at each tee off with the map and distance of each hole. It is fairly easy to navigate once you find hole 1 by the driveway.

Cons:

Big open spaces with few obsticals. The course doesn't often require a more obvious/difficult path to the basket. Most amatures can land a drive within 25 feet of most of the baskets.

Other Thoughts:

They did the best with the land they have. This course was a great confidence booster.
