Pros:
The only thing I have is that the next tee signs and course map here on DGCR helped me find most of the tees and poles.
And maybe that holes 5-7 play over a mowed grassy field and were not an overgrown mess.
Cons:
The tees are just a wood post with number and distance. I found 10/12.
The "tone" poles are actually PVC, so there is little to no tone! There is not much satisfying about hitting these targets. I found 10/12.
The course is very overgrown in many spots. Holes 1-4 are nothing more than a hiking trail. Holes 8-10 are in a field with stuff growing thick and over my head. A small curvy mowed trail is there to connect all the tees and posts, but it is nothing more than a place to walk. Area to hole 12 pole was very overgrown.
Other Thoughts:
Once I got past the tick-infested raspberry bushes that had set a barrier in front of tee 1, I was able to "play" most of the holes, but much of it was a walking trail where I only felt comfortable tossing the disc about 50' at a time. Nothing about my round was enjoyable, other than being shocked at how bad this was.
Even if this course had perfect maintainence, it still would not be a good course. It barely has tees and targets. This "state park" in the middle of nowhere is also kind of a joke as there is very little here. I am not sure why anybody would come here for much of anything.
If playing this was somebody's first experience with disc golf, they would hate it and never try it again.
