The course that time forgot 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 31, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

There's baskets, found six of them … err, make that seven!
Hardly anything else is maintained here either, so you should be by yourself.
That's about it.

Cons:

No tees, no tee signs, a few baskets were missing, but there was a playground and a picnic shelter.
Judging from the pics on here, the design wasn't much when it was put in.
#1 teed between the tennis courts and the road, then 90 turn around the tennis fence.
#2 basket was/is in a clump of bushy trees.
#4 ran right over the bleachers of what use to be a softball field.
#6 and #9 baskets are very close together.
The one interesting part of this course, a large mound that held #5 basket is now gone. I did find #5, laying in a pile of brush not too far from #2 basket. (Sure wish I had a way to rescue that little puppy! :) )
Yea, not much going on here any more.

Other Thoughts:

It looks like the local Parks crew spent some time on putting this course in back in 2010. They built tee boxes (raised off the ground :( ) and tried to spread the baskets around the perimeter, but that was probably the last effort put into this course, except for leveling the mound.
Since the ballfield and tennis courts are grown over, the playground and walking path are probably the only things that get used around here. I guess if you lived out here, it would be good for field work, up shots and putting. I wouldn't even bring beginners here, its pretty sad. I kept looking over my shoulder, expecting a Walker to come stumbling along any minute.
Really just a course for course baggers now.

not that great 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 20, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

it is open and it has an elevated basket and a sunken baskets. dont see those much.

Hole 2 has two trees very close together right infront of the tee so shooting through them is a challenge.

Cons:

hole 4 is missing.

no signs to tell you where to go so you will probably have to walk around for a bit till you figure it out.

most tee boxes are hard to find til you realize what they are.

most shots are pretty straight. with it being open so its not creative at all.

Other Thoughts:

goot to play once just to get an idea of how some baskets should/ should not be laid out. but for that reason only

hole 1 is next to a tennis court but its fenced in so its perfectly ok to play
