Practice your approach 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 30, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

+ Easy and quick to navigate

+ New baskets, decent signage. "Natural tees" - but the teeing areas are flat, the area is mowed and well-kept

+ A little bit of elevation change

Cons:

- The parking lot is a bit of a hike to the first tee - but there's a small pull-off area on the right as you enter the campus. Park there and jump on at Hole #7 right across the road

Other Thoughts:

~ The pars are very generous: with five par 4's less than 250' and a par 5 at 271'. One of the other reviewers noted that the course was subsidized to ensure students with visual impairments and disabilities would have a genuine disc golf experience - so that may be the reason for the pars being what they are

~ Other than being a recreational set-up for college students, this layout has little to recommend it as a "course." It's a well-mowed, gently rolling hillside with baskets. That said, the small amount of elevation change makes the place useful for practicing and ranging your approach game. If I lived nearby, I'd be here regularly for field work

COURSE AMENITIES:

Nine new DiscCatcher baskets, nine tee signs.

RECOMMENDED COMBINATIONS:
The Town of Sweden course is very close by. We didn't play there, instead using Brockport as a warmup on our way to Parma, Sawyer and Basil Marella.

Suits it's intended purpose. 2+ years

Pros:

New DIscatchers, quality concrete pads.
Wheelchair accessable

ACE RUNS on every hole. If you can't have fun trying for an ace on every hole, then the problem doesn't lie with the course.

Perfect place to introduce new players to the sport. It is a quick play that will not frustrate new players. After a few rounds players may get ambitious and try the Sweden course, or maybe they will channel their innner Carl Cubbage and collect aces.

Cons:

The course is short and lacks challenge for an experienced player, even in the intermediate level. However that is because this course was paid for through grants and donations to ensure students with visual impairments and disabilities would have an AUTHENTIC and accessable course.
Parking: You need to get a parking pass to ensure you do not get a ticket.

Other Thoughts:

The fenced off area in the middle is not much of a threat. I was at the course on opening day and watched completly new players play all day with unfamiliar discs (2 with visual impairments) and no one came close to throwing a disc inside the fenced in area.

This is a Physical Education heavy school. This course now provides a place where our future physical educators can learn disc golf so they can teach it when they move on to their schools after graduation.
