Easy to go and play 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 26, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

The grounds staff at MGCCC take very good job at keeping up with the quality of the course and the surrounding areas, almost all the baskets are easy to find, and there is a lot of really challenging spots on the course, but not so bad that it makes you wanna just give up. It provides a challenge for all skill levels from beginner to pro.

Cons:

The only thing that I'm not happy about with this course, is that the course map on here is not the correct course map, at least it's not laid out according to the tees that are actually on the course, but it is easy to find your way if you do infact get lost.

Enjoyable 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 8, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Overall, this course is nice and fun to play as well as challenging for most aspects of your game.

Cons:

Needs better signage to get around. We thought there was way too much room from basket to next tee. Put in a couple of extra holes maybe to eliminate some dead walking.

Other Thoughts:

Well kept on campus.

Good Overall Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 18, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

• Free to play.
• Maintained grounds.
• Enjoyable scenery (ie. plant life, wildlife, ponds)
• Player friendly for all skill levels.
• Excellent Innova Discatchers.
• Secured parking area watched by campus police.

Cons:

• Wide layout that makes for a long walk.
• No facilities (ie. restrooms, trash cans, benches, water fountains)
• No scorecards or maps posted on-site

Other Thoughts:

Overall, this is a great course. The tee boxes are all marked with distances, and most of the Discatchers have arrows on or near them pointing to the next hole. I would recommend printing out a scorecard and a map (or download it to your smart phone) before you play.

WORK IN PROGRESS 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 18, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Nice layout, good mix of open and lightly wooded holes. Some holes are shorter with a few long distance holes. There is plenty of parking with good course maintenance.

Cons:

Natural tees as of now, with some low spots after rains. Course is not lefty friendly. Tee signs to be updated soon. long walk between holes 4-5.

Other Thoughts:

As myself(Mike Smith) and Dale McVeay layed out this course over the weeks we took into consideration the land we had to use. Natural tees are on purpose temporarily as we (SMDGA) and the school are patiently waiting on feedback of the layout. Also, a bulletin board is on its way with course info and a map.. A few fellow disc golfers and myself placed tee markers on the left hand side as SMDGA are working on more permanant tee signs and boxes. Enjoy!!!

Great New Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 11, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Very beginner friendly (excluding holes 1, 2, and 3) but also presents a fair challenge with the moderate placement of trees. There is also a good mix of hole distances. A very fun course to play.

Cons:

The tee boxes are natural and a few are unlevel orhave roots laying in the way.

Other Thoughts:

Really enjoyed this nice new course. All the baskets are in new condition. The course is laid out on the campus and has a good flow. Navigation from hole to hole is easy even without a scorecard. This course is super enjoyable for all skill levels. Positively the best course in the area. I will definitely play this course many times. Park next to hole 10 and the first tee is back across the road to the left.
