Burleigh Hills No Frills

Reviewed: Played on:May 7, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Course offers a decent amount of variety in terms of distance so if you live in the area and are looking for a place to practice on the weekend, this would be perfect as it's right outside of Milwaukee so not a bad place to warm up the arm.

- Signs were decent and provided basic information. Even on the long holes the pins are visible as this is a very flat course.

- The design is decent at best. This could've been one of those typical school courses where it's just the same short dead straight throw with the occasional RHBH hole. If this was in my neighborhood, I'd definitely make this my practice course to test out new discs.

Cons:

- It is listed as a seasonal course so not available during the winter months. I doubt that will bum anyone out considering Dretzka has a winter course to satisfy MKE area players during the off season.

- The baskets were not very good and are not permanently installed if I remember correctly which is actually probably fine considering it's a seasonal course so removing them for the winter months wouldn't be very hard.

- School course so obviously not available Monday through Friday during school hours. The course does play near sports activity areas and a playground so they would definitely be a no-go when kids are around.

- Grass teepads which again, pretty typical of a school course. As of right now, the course is pretty new so the grass hasn't been rutted out yet but I'm sure that will change in 5+ years.

Other Thoughts:

Another typical Wisco school course but at least this one isn't a total snooze fest. The equipment / teepads could definitely be upgraded which would bump this one up to a solid 2.5. I rated it as a 2 but honestly it's more of a 1.75.

One for the baggers or people in the greater Milwaukee area or if you're on your way out to Madison. The distances on this course vary from 150 to almost 500 feet so it's a solid 35-45 minute course with a low chance of losing plastic.
