Mostly open dual tees. Not too many trees and not all that technical. Good for beginners. The "river" could make it interesting on some missed throws.

Trash on the course like others have noted. The neighborhood was slightly less than savory so just play it in the daylight.

Pretty well marked and not too hard to follow. Some of the tee signs had fallen down but were laying by the tee instead.

It has concrete tee pads. Wide open holes abound. Fun, simple easy course. Great course to play after work, as long as it's daylight savings time.

Trash and debris on the course, As mentioned by the other reviewer, I too saw a few liquor bottles and used condoms on the course. The slightest rain causes standing water to form in a short time and takes days of no rain to disappear. Park users may pick up any discs gone astray.

Nice to have a course in this part of town! Now if we could just get one in the Hamilton Place Mall/East Brainerd Rd. area!

The course plays in the park behind the Carver Recreation Center. It's not your typical area in which to install a disc golf course. The course itself plays mostly around a walking track which meanders through the park. There are two teepads for each hole, the Reds and the Whites. The White tees play a little longer and sometimes give you a slightly different look at the basket. Often, they're just 20-30' longer. There are great new signs for both giving the distance and par. The Whites are all rated at par 4's which means if you're so inclined, every white hole is an easy birdie and a definite eagle possibility. The Reds are all rated par 3's. The teepads are concrete and great. Great new baskets which point to the next teepad. The park is clean, litter free, with no signs of vandalism. Several baskets are just sitting in the middle of the grass with no obstacles around. White # 9 forces you to throw a hyser around some trees and there are maybe two holes where you need to keep your drive below the tree branches.

It's a short, beginner course with just a slight bit of elevation, mostly wide open holes. The area around the course is sketchy.

It's just an unusual place to build a course. I don't think disc golf is going to surpass basketball as the favorite sport in the inner cities. I played this course twice early in the morning and was quite comfortable playing at that time but I would be hesitant about playing there in the evening, especially alone. But it is fun racking up those eagles.
