Wow....... 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 31, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

It's a disc golf course in a nice looking park with one shot that plays up a hill to a basket that is on a large mound, where if you miss you'll have a long putt coming back.

Cons:

Pretty much everything about the park was bad. I will start with the baskets. Each basket is homemade and about twice the regular diameter but with only 8 chains. This makes it nearly impossible to make a shot from any sort of distance.
Next, the layout is just terrible. There was not a single safe shot on the whole course. I skipped holes 1 and 9 because there was a gathering of people in a shelter about 15 feet from hole 1's basket and hole 9's basket is roughly 5 feet from the parking lot with cars parked right next to it. A couple of the other holes had you throwing over paths and playgrounds, as well as tees for the next hole, with a few holes throwing right over ball fields.
Another awful part was the tee signs. There were two tee signs on each hole that you were apparently supposed to tee off of in between. The problem with this was that these signs were tall enough that you could hit your hand on them, so it messed with your run up. One hole had a tree about 5 feet back from the tee right in the middle of your run up.
The map was pretty terrible, the flow was bad, baskets were awful, danger was everywhere.

Other Thoughts:

This was without a doubt the worst course I have ever played in my entire life. I would not wish this upon anybody. The area is beautiful but they need to have a real course designer come through so it's not so dangerous for the kids. Also another layer of chains, or two, would help a lot as the baskets are giant sized, which leaves more space in between chains. I had a putt hit the center post and bounce back out without hitting a single chain.

All in all do not go here under any circumstance.
