Pros:

- Tee signs for 4 out of the 5 holes.
- Ample opportunity to chuck it into the dog park on #5.
- They use the hill. #2 throws uphill. #3 throws downhill.
- They use the trees. #1 throws around the two trees.

Cons:

- Cramped, oddly dissatisfying disc golf in a busy multiuse park area.
- Other than #'s 2 and 3, as well as the last half of 5, the rest is mindless filler.

Other Thoughts:

- Just ugh. I guess they should be commended for not trying to smoosh a full nine in here, because that would be even more of an atrocity.

Well , The Park Is Nice 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 31, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

There are baskets here , for 5 hole Centennial Park .
Equipment . 5 older mach baskets that catch okay. 5 signs , one on a large hill that has #2 basket on it . Natural Tees .
The Landscape . all flat except a huge hill that you have to throw up to #2 basket on and throw off of from #3 tee ( cool ).It's a beautiful multi use park and gets a lot of park patrons.
The highlights , see Landscape . quick play 15 minutes or less . Disc Risk : Remote . Nice bathroom at parking lot

Cons:

#1 Safety . Since the course is not really a course , there is a walking trail just beyond #1's basket . There are also people that will cut across your fairway to walk or take Fido to the dog park that runs right next to the course . On #5's fairway , you are dangerously close to the dog park . It is open air here and a good gust of wind might spell bad times for the dogs or people that use the dog park facility . They will be plenty mad since they are in the right , on that side of the fence .
Navigation . None . Guess from the photos of the holes . #1 goes straight toward the walking area ( away from the dog park toward a clump of bushes ) , 2 goes to the top of the only hill in this park . #3 goes off the hill towards the woods . #4 comes back towards the fairway you just threw over , and 5 which is almost 550' , runs alongside and past the dog park fence , to the basket next to the woods .
The signage could be more descriptive , so you know where you throw at , and even a toe board will help you know where to tee off from . For a nice park , I thought the baskets and signs might be a little better . No kiosk , no map . No worries ! All of the holes here are pretty much wide open drives .
Clearing off the other side of that hill wouldn't be a bad idea , either . 5 holes in this nice park , REALLY ?!?!

Other Thoughts:

I don't know the story behind this disc golf course . Was it put here as a novelty ? I looked around and found more than enough land to support at least a 9 hole course . There is a walking trail spanning a woods that the fitness people can share with the disc golfers that can hold plenty of holes . There are also spots beyond the large hill . I'll make a deal with the good people of Centennial Park . If you make this 9 holes and restructure the first 5 holes , I will come back and evaluate it with a straight face and give this park the praise it deserves . For now , this is just a practice area ( albeit a good practice area ) to safari and make up a couple of holes .
My Recommendation : Seriously ?!
