Introduction/warm up to woods golf 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 26, 2021 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

1. Good amenities - Good tee signs and tee pads. Tee pads are turf on a base. No benches, but you should be done with all 9 holes in less than 30 minutes. Baskets are nice green double chain Prodigy brand. They catch just fine

2. Great beginner course. Moderately wooded and very short. Tons of ace runs. Definitely some challenge here

3. Quick play. Even with a group you should not spend more than 45 minutes playing all 9 holes. It also is never busy. I have never waited here on any of the 9 hole courses

4. There is a playground near some holes but a disc should never go near it. No other activities/people should be out on the land the course is on.

Cons:

1. Lacks variety. A lot of the holes are just straight ahead or slightly off center. Most can be attacked with any type of tee shot.

2. The transition from hole 9 to intermediate hole 1 is very long. I don't mind it, but I've heard many people complain.

3. Newness. Some stuff hasn't been cleared on some holes. No one picks up dead fall here either.

Other Thoughts:

This is a nice warm up/beginner 9 hole course on church grounds. No alcohol or smoking. I usually play here on lunch breaks at work or when playing the other 2 nine hole courses next. As a MA1 player, I usually shoot -7 to -8 here. The perfect round has thus far eluded me. This one is totally skippable if you don't care for the course notch under your belt. The intermediate and advanced courses are more than capable of quenching your disc golf appetite.
