- One of very few courses inside the perimeter.
- Not far from my workplace, can get a quick 9 in on my lunch break.
- Low traffic from other players.

- Most holes are shorter than 300'
- Not very technical.

This is a great place to sharpen your approach/putting game. All but maybe two or three holes require only a midrange and putter. This is definitely a beginner level course, but for someone looking to sharpen their skills it is a great place to play. Some holes do have a river in play. Hole 4 is pretty scenic, but has a river on the left side, anyone looking to hyzer an approach here needs to stay way right. The river has a 10' bank that is somewhat treacherous (not speaking from experience of course...)
Sometimes it is nice to make those chains clang during a work day.

This course is for the most part a beautifully manicured course. But just like when you were talking to that exotic dancer, you may want to play it safe when it comes to certain holes.

The first four holes play in front of the church, with #4 having your first encounter with a water hazard that you will see for the next 2 holes as well, giving you ample time to warm up before you attempt any water shots.

A wooded shot followed by some field shots finish up the course. It was easy to get a round in with 2 people in just under 30 minutes.

Baskets are in nice shape and are brightly painted. They are not new but do the job just fine. Each hole does have multiple tees which adds a nice level of difficulty. The newer black tees that are on some holes really change the required shots. Holes 2 & 4 are great examples of this. Instead of just placing a new tee marker 30' behind the others, they are placed off to the sides.

Navigation was pretty easy for a first timer without a map. After hole 7, go up the stairs and turn right. 8's tee is to the right of the brown building.

A nice mix of open holes and wooded but I would definitely call this a mostly open course.

Plenty of parking, easy access to highways and friendly people (everyone at least waved to us) all are great aspects of this course.

Some tee markers were hard to find. It looks like they have replaced some of them since I went there 2 weeks ago so this may be a non-issue now.

No restrooms, benches or trash cans. Granted, it wasn't busy and the course was immaculate but it would be nice to have a trash can by the parking lot.

Hole 6 tee is probably 30-40' from hole 9s basket. I overshot hole 9 and landed on 6's tee. Luckily there was no one there but it could be dangerous when it gets busy there. Be sure to call Fore.

Hole 5 forces a shot through trees (or around) where the fairway runs parallel to the creek. One bad bounce and say bye to your disc. On the other hand, this is probably the only risk/reward type shot on the course so I listed this one neither as a pro or con.

Also, if your disc goes in the creek, find a long stick. It's pretty mucky. Trust me.

1. Close to work, easy to navigate to during rush hour (inside the Perimeter).
2. Easy to park, shaded; not too crowded.
3. Simple, intuitive course layout; varied terrain.
4. New tee markers for red & white; new black tee markers coming soon.
5. It's fun; that's most important, right?

3. Sometimes crowded on week nights due to its location.
4. Don't play before 1:00pm on Sundays, this is a church.

The church staff are very nice and accomodating; they welcome all disc golf players, regardless whether they are congregation members or not.

Fun course to let loose on and feel comfortable for beginners or for those just wanting to practice skill shots. Two sets of tee pads so you can turn it into 18 holes.

Nice open course layout, never crowded, cool natural obstacles and interesting lines. Opportunity to open up and let it rip unlike many of the wooded courses in the area. Well maintained by professional landscapers. Also, its very convenient for most of north Atlanta.

May be too elementary for advanced players. Nine holes offer limited variety. Lots of kudzu and a flowing creek can lead to lost discs in the out of bounds areas.

I love this simple little course. Plenty of opportunities to try out new shots and discs. My friend and I played the course twice for a full 18-hole experience. The open layout of most of the holes was a welcome change for this beginner-intermediate player since so many courses around Atlanta are deeply wooded (E. Roswell, Wills Park and Sequoyah come to mind). Very pretty natural surroundings, quiet on a weekday (although you can hear the local traffic). The holes were interesting to throw with layouts near the creek and the woods which presented some cool challenges and require RHBH and sidearm shots. The wind on the day I played was moderate to strong and was a serious factor which required adjustments that (mostly) resulted in some monster drives. Since the course is on private land it is very well maintained by the church landscapers with manicured lawns and fairways. The rough was just that but even a new player can avoid the creeks and kudzu by throwing conseratively. I found some new aspects to my game playing here and will come back again, hopefully soon. I applaud the Chamblee Church for putting a disc golf course on their very beautiful property. It's a gift to the local DG community. Happy tossing!

This course is excellent for a quick after work practice round. In general it is designed to beginner friendly but hole 5 can be challenging.

Signature hole: 4 along the creek

The church course is located on the north side of Atlanta which allows for pretty easy access from I-285. The course is on private property which means that it is usually cleaner and the grass is cut better than some other public parks. This is a fantastic course to play either during a lunch break or right after work. The course also allows you to play a variety of shots.

To start it is only a 9-hole course. The church does have enough land to put in a 18-hole but I think a 9-hole with two pads is just fine. The baskets are Discatcher Sports so expect a few cut-threws when you play.

The course is really a hidden gem on the north side of town. No drinking, no smoking and no profanity at anytime. No playing on Sunday until after noon as well. I think it is great that a church would put in small disc golf course for their parishioners and the local community as well. Keep this course clean and tell everyone you see there you love it and maybe more churches will catch on.
