A true gem 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jul 26, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great use of land. Front nine play on 1 side of the road and back on the other side. Perfect flow with 1, 10, 9, and 18 all within 100' of each other.

No danger zones on any holes. Fairways are well established and separated.

All holes are unique and challenging in their own way. No filler or boring holes. Pro golfers will love the challenge and length of the course.

Lots of elevation and great use of ob by ravine and river areas.

Just up the road within walking distance to sister course Black Falls.

Not busy. You will likely have this course to yourself on any given day.

Breathtaking scenery and beautiful landscapes abound. Over 1000 wild apple trees on the front nine!

Fresh spring water on hole 12

As far as fun factor and challenge go, this is my all time favorite.

The front and back nine play like 2 completely different courses. Cherry Hill is a great tournament course because it uses most of its 50 acres. There are rarely backups and can accommodate 90 players easily.

Cons:

This is designed to be a pro level course so beginners may be frusturated with only 1 set of tees.

No restrooms. This is on private property so come prepared.

Another Great Disc Course in VT 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 30, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Amazing Course and brand new. Has everything you would want in a Pro course. Beautiful scenery just like Johnny's other course Black Falls just back up the road. He did such a great job on the layout of this course. I was only able to play the first 9 holes because he was still finishing up the back 9. But there are a lot of open fairways to throw serious distance on and some tucked up in the trees. Just all around a great course for competitive and skilled disc players.

Cons:

But this course is very long. The 9th hole alone is over 585ft. (Again, only the front 9 was open at the time) If you can't throw for distance, I would recommend playing Black Falls. I figure Johnny will put up more baskets for both Gold and Silver distances like he did on Black Falls once he has finished setting everything up.

Not really a parking lot to park at. You kinda gotta park on the side of the road. Hopefully soon he can be able to add a parking lot.

Other Thoughts:

Like I said, this course is just amazing if you are going to drive to Montgomery I would deffly recommend playing both courses if you have the time.
