Hard shots with trees in almost every shot. Alot of variety, every hole is different. This is a great place to work on your accuracy. I recommend you skip the red tee's and go straight for the whites tee's for max fun. But also the Blues are a good challange for any player. After your done take a look at buffalo the view is great.

Most signs are missing. Ask around if you cant find hole 13 and 14. Watch your step. Lastly please be careful climbing down the gorge. Sometimes it better to walk all the way to hole 3 or up to go 9 and get your disc's back.

Bring a map if you can so you can find 13, 14. Alot of people walk right by.

Challenging; which makes a good throw all the more satisfying. Heavy tree cover provides cover from wind as well as shade from the sun on hot days. Diverse holes that each provide a unique challenge and opportunities to try something new. The course makes awesome use of elevation change.

Holes are shorter so go elsewhere if you feel like throwing far.
Can get busy and is often populated by new and inconsiderate players.
Be careful not to slip and fall. I've taken tumble here and watched others do the same.

Could use some renovations on heavily eroding paths and degraded tee pads. Also, a few more garbage cans would be nice.

A mostly wooded course, length wise is probably a bit above average. 18 holes with three tees per hole. Every shot makes you think. This is a great course for a tournament. Not a beginner friendly course but seems to be packed every day. Seemed to favor lefties a bit, but not to the extent where it's a problem. A lot of mini level changes, and a ravine that seems to show up on every hole. Almost every basket is totally blind from the long tee, making it a course where locals probably have a huge advantage. Playing long tees is a fun challenge. All three Tees have a degree of difficulty to them. The more I play this course the more I have enjoyed it.

The ravine can be dangerous. Watch your step.

First tee off at the top of the hill gives a excellent view of Buffalo and Lake Erie, really nice! Course design around ravine is beautiful!. Dropping one into a 100' ravine can be quite a bummer, but challenging as hell!!!

Course can be very crowded, tee boxes are dug in and somewhat worn out. Signs are missing especially on the back nine, you can miss three holes if you go the wrong way.

A good time..

Some unique, interesting holes. Despite being so heavily wooded you won't be slamming into trees every other shot.

The deep gorge ends up being in play on a few holes and if you miss that putt or screw up your drive then you'll have some serious climbing to do. Some tee signs were also missing.

I normally don't enjoy heavily wooded courses as much as I do the more open or moderately wooded ones out there but this course is definitely an exception to that rule.

There are a lot of really fun and challenging holes to be played here. #9's drive over dual canyons stands out in my mind as well as hole #15 which follows a winding creek downhill through a wooded alley. Definitely some fun stuff.

Chestnut Ridge is definitely worth a stop or even worth a trip especially to play the course. I enjoyed my round there quite a bit and plan on revisiting the course again soon.

The deep gorge in the center of the course provides a unique hazard and wonderful scenery. Despite being in the woods, there is usually a viable throwing lane from tee to hole. The view from the 1st tee is pretty sweet.

Some of the tee signs on the back nine are missing, and without those or a map it can be difficult for someone unfamiliar with the course to find the baskets, which are rarely visible from the tees. Can get crowded on the weekends when the weather is good, and on occasion people park their vehicles too close for comfort around the 5th fairway.

Ignore the "par" on the signs and play every hole as a tough 3. It is arguably the most challenging course in Buffalo, and the most played. This is still my favorite woods course, and still the only place I've had a 40' approach shot miss and slide down a 40' cliff.
