RECREATIONAL AND NOVICE LEVEL FRIENDLY - Due to limited overgrowth areas and also no water hazards, this will be an ideal course for players rated between 800 and 900. Lots of birdie potential, a couple putter ace runs and also opportunities to work on driving distance. Not a true beginner's course due to the length, but it's manageable.
- MAINTENANCE AND FACILITIES - The overall park upkeep is immaculate. Excellent restroom facilities, excellent parking and there are vending machines available.
- QUICK PLAY - I think the course plays really quick for an 18. I did my round here solo in just under 60 minutes and I photographed the course. I think this will translate into 100 minutes for a group of 4 seasoned players.
- ROOM TO MODIFY - This is huge park and there are lots of unused spaces. I would not be surprised if the entire layout is redone in a couple years. Fingers crossed. I felt that the stretch from (8) to (14) was the only portion worth saving. I wouldn't shed a tear if the axe came for the others. I'd even supply the axe.

Skilled players will not be challenged.
- LACK OF CHALLENGE - Recreational players who are able to throw 300 feet should have no problem breaking par on this course. Advanced players that venture here should probable be able to throw sub 45 rounds. There are a few tee shots over 400 feet, but there are even more tee shots that are 220 feet or less. Technical skill is almost not required. Seven holes don't have a tree in play. Wind will likely be the most challenging aspect.
- LACK OF SHOT SHAPING - With the extent of the openness, one can expect a round with very little thought process on the tee. Most holes I just looked at the hole distance, then I quickly grabbed a disc and threw. Way too many holes can be attacked from every angle.
- LACK OF ELEVATION - Not quite glass flat, but just about all the elevation change here is insignificant. Figure the most change on any one hole is 10 feet. The slope angles never exceeds 15 degrees. The course however should be perfect for carts.
- SUB-PAR VARIETY - In addition to little elevation, the overall variety is about as compelling as right and left Twix bars. As stated above, way too many open plays. There is water in view on the last two holes, but it doesn't come into play. There are 2 listed par 4s and one listed par 5, but the par 5 is no more than a rec par 4. One of the listed par 4s is really an Intermediate level par 3.
- RAW BEAUTY - A noted in the pros, the upkeep in the park is phenomenal. Everything was well mowed on the course. Sections of the course had professional landscaping, and there are backdrop views of the large pond on the last two holes. The reason I am putting this in the cons, is because the course layout overall, falls below average. This course is just too flat and open for me to score higher. I scored the course around 40 percentile.
- LAYOUT FLOW AND NAVIGATION - There are some big gaps in course flow. Without a map, good luck transitioning between (2) and (3), and also between (7) and (8). The course also ends about 2,000 feet from the start of the course. There's a course map posted on DGCR and I suggest downloading it. There are no navigational cues along the layout as of this review.

Considering the money put into the park and available land to use, this should have been a 2.5 course right off the bat. Way too many simplistic holes. Reminds me of the original nearby Arab DGC, which is thankfully being redesigned. Novice and Recreation players that like open coddling courses might like this course. Also a great place to introduce the sport to another or for newer players in general as the layout is about as forgiving as they get. Players that prefer even just a modest amount of technical challenge will have to go elsewhere. There is just nothing here that gets the imaginative juices flowing. The course desperately needs some tweaks.
- TEES, CHAINS AND SIGNAGE - The core items of tees, chains and signage are adequate. Brand new mach IIIs with the hole number placards on top. Embedded 4x4 posts with affixed sign showing hole number and distance. The tees are natural using etched cast stones as the front of the tee line. Why these stones were 20 feet apart on my appearance was baffling.
