Good, intermediate difficulty course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 15, 2020 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- Intermediate course that makes you throw a lot of different shots.
- Course is well taken care of. Fairways and paths between basket and tees are worn in and easy to follow.

Cons:

- Some of the undergrowth in the rough is getting a bit out of control. Can take some time finding discs while scratching up your legs if you are wearing shorts.
- There are a couple holes that could have better signs pointing to the next tee.

Other Thoughts:

As someone with less than 100 rounds experience, Coggs offers a good challenge for me to work on many parts of my game. Good mix of left-to-right, straight, and right-to-left shots. Throwing into the rough forces you to get creative to get out of trouble. A couple holes also make you think twice about running long putts.

Great course for players of all levels 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 19, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Excellent course that requires nearly every trick shot in the books.

Well laid out with many key signs throughout the course to steer you in the right direction.

Cons:

Small parking lot. Definitely carpool. Monday nights are packed with leagues, but they are great people.

Other Thoughts:

The cliff to cliff shot is a lot of fun.

Many Improvements 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 15, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Course is playing better than it ever has. Most holes now have brick tee pads and the brush is much thinner thanks to recent work days. Many unique holes with a very good use of the elevation changes, great greens, challenging but fair.

My favorites would be:
3 - A rolling fairway with OB road running along the entire right side and a guarded basket

6 - Tee shot plays over a 250ft gully, if you do make the opposite hill there are small patches of laurel and pine protecting the green if you don't stay in the fairway.

13 - A short, easy hole but a great example of the landscape. Plays over a large boulder onto a green with multiple levels, miss right and you're putting from 5 feet above the basket, miss left and you may be rolling away but the basket sits on a nice level spot.

Cons:

There are some areas where casual water will always be an issue, so proper footwear during wet seasons is a good idea.

It is tight and technical so it may be tough on beginners.

Other Thoughts:

League on Monday nights with pools for all skill levels.

Currently tees off at 5PM.

First Round 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 16, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

- a few long holes
- variety of terrain, many ups and downs, and a few flats
- new baskets
- cool shot over a valley

Overall this place is great, I was expecting a poor experience but I really enjoyed the variety of the holes and how spread out the course was. The fairways are in great shape and course was not crowded at all, we saw one other person

Cons:

- parking is terrible, there is only room for a few cars in a small horseshoe driveway.
- finding the next basket can be difficult, as signage is poor on the first few holes, now that i've played it once it won't be a problem though.
- tee pads are mostly natural, a few horse pads in the beginning
- the mountain laurel and prickers were a bit tough to find your disc in, even in the winter

Other Thoughts:

- Go here! If you live within an hour I'd say its worth the drive.
- the course is practically brand new, and will only improve
