not worth $6

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 7, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

9 brand new baskets and a giant area with poles to mark tees.

Cons:

For a 9 hole this course is way too long. And hard. You would need a monster arm. It's also pretty boring they did the thing about avoiding a lot of the trees. The ground is so uneven everywhere even if you have a good arm you cannot get a good foot.

Other Thoughts:

If they would cut really short fairways and then leave the middle of this giant area completely uncut and then maybe do a secondary rough cut it would at least look better designed and intentional

Well......

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 27, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

New DD Vet baskets
Flow is decent, easy to follow
uses the slight elevation in the park
Area is ONLY disc golf, no other park users in this area.

Cons:

Not very much shade for the Texas sun
Area looks like it is not mowed very often, grass was not tall, but not short when I played it.
No map or tee signs, but 8/9 of the polls had hole numbers on them and the baskets had numbers stuck on them.

Other Thoughts:

Never one to complain about new courses, but this course I have a few issues with.

First off, the park is not free to get into. So $3 per car, then $3 per person. So it cost $9 for me and my wife to play the course and check it out.

I do like how where they put the course there are no other park users. Shoot, there is not even a parking lot for the course, you just park in the grass next to the fence near hole 1.

Things look decent when you walk up to hole 1 that tees off from a shaded area. Enjoy it, you will not see any shade the rest of the round. Most of the holes are wide open drives that are all on the longer side. The shortest holes are actually playing longer because they are throwing uphill.

Hole 7 was interesting in that it is a reachable hole, but you can't see the basket because it is over the edge of the hill.

A couple of the holes have a deep rough you don't want to throw errant throws into. Stay on the fairway and you will have a decent score.

Would I play here again? No, specially having to pay to play. Here is the main problem I have with this course, because it is on the open side, the holes are long for new players. However being only 9 holes and mostly open the course is boring for a seasoned player. For me, this was a "one and done" course. I played it, no reason to ever play it again.
