Pros:

Interesting and challenging course with lots of different lines and angles. Varied terrain that goes from open fields of sage brush into pinion pines and juniper trees. A few nice tunnel shots, an extra tee pad and basket between 17 and 18 with an arched mando. Hole 2 is amazing. Nice long drive over a sink hole/ crater, which can play good or bad, depending on your disc choice. Man made rock stairs in the really steep areas, relatively easy to navigate the course, excellent signage in most areas. Lots of benches to just sit and enjoy the views along the way. Ample parking by the soccer fields, which is right next to 1.

Cons:

Got a little tripped up on the tee pad for 10. Finished 9, no sign directing you to next tee. Went to the closest, which turned out to be 14, but didn't know until we reached the basket, because the sign at 14 tee was missing. No bathrooms. No cigarettes or beer allowed on campus.

Other Thoughts:

When you hole out at 9, the tee for 10 is to the LEFT facing the basket, RIGHT if you face 9 tee pad. Don't park by the high ropes course. That is the 4th and 17th tee. Go all the way to the dirt lot by the soccer fields. 1st tee is right on the edge of the lot. Bring plenty of water.

Very Good College Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 31, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

This being my third Colorado Mountain College Course to play, I am amazed at how good these college courses are. The course is placed in an area of the campus where you won't run into many other activities.

The terrain is gently rolling (except Hole 2) and for the most part covered with brush and shortish trees. There is a good variety of hole lengths from rather short (166') out to 400'+.About half of the holes are over open brushy ground, with the rest using trees to require shaping drives and hitting gaps.

Hole 2 is the signature hole where you drive over a crater (sinkhole?) to a basket perched on the opposite side. Absolutely the best piece of terrain on the course.

Tee pads were good flat concrete with decent texture. Signs were photo-type with each of the pin positions noted. Some holes showed as many as 4 pin positions.

There are some spectacular views of the surrounding mountains from several places on the course.

Cons:

Tee signs are getting pretty faded. With several pin positions it was difficult to know where to throw without walking up quite a ways.

For a mountain course I though it was disappointingly flat, and somewhat open. Many of the holes were quite open and kind of meh...

On the wooded holes the trees are short enough that a spike hyzer or overhand will get you over the top.

The tee pad for Hole 1 was submerged in slimy water that was overflow from irrigating the adjacent soccer field.

Other Thoughts:

This is a very good course, but I just didn't think it lived up to its 4.5 rating. I've played several Colorado courses this summer that I thought were significantly better, and rated them 4 and 4.5, so this one gets a 3.5. But still, and very good course.

Pros:

Course is in good shape, 1st time played. They have tried to do a good job of good course sign and next tee signs. Course was nicely layed out with some good variety.

Cons:

Several holes were similar, Drive in the open then basket was protected in the trees 30-50 back.

Pros:

Very well marked course, challenging, and beautiful land. This course has some pin placements that are very challenging.

Cons:

Not much to pick on.

Other Thoughts:

This course has many holes that make you use shots that are unusual, and is a lot of fun to play.
