Grass-n-Fence 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 30, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

Concrete teepads.

Signs at teepads with distance and next tee information.

Cons:

Teepads too small, only 3'x6'.

Teesigns too close to teepads, abutting back corner.

Other Thoughts:

This nine-basket course zigzags in a counterclockwise fashion in the flat, open space surrounding a community center and a fenced-off area. Avoiding the chest-high grasses/plants perilously close to the first third of the course, and not going over the fence on the second third, are the primary challenges to overcome .Left-turn or straight oriented, as extreme lefts are needed on hole 4-5, and subtler lefts seem appropriate on the number of other holes, too.

Tee-1 and practice basket to the right of the community center. Two baskets visible from tee-1 - basket-1 (right) and basket-4 (left).

Favourite hole #8: The shortest hole at 177', it is the only hole with elevation change (upslope), obstacles (large hardwoods), and a hanging basket, offering a slightly moving target when the breeze is blowing.

Well, it is a course. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 12, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Baskets and cement teepads
-Interesting use of old go-cart track as OB or imaginary lake
-filling in the emptyness of the golf scene in the central/southern NY area
-Practice basket with putting area

Cons:

-Teepads narrow, short and elevated out of the ground making for some real ankle twisting awkwardness on any hole (maybe only 3 or 4) that you want to get a run up on.
-Wide open course
- Holds water, some real big wet spots on a few of the first holes

Other Thoughts:

- I drove down to check out this course as it is within an hour from me; i wasnt expecting too much so i was charmed by it.
- Hanging baskets are always sweet, that lil ace run is no exeption
- While playing here you are next to some real nice woods, I found myself wishing that the course was in them instead of its current location.
- Doesnt seem like there is room for expansion here, but who knows if it catches on maybe something else will come about
-Glad to see disc golf making some steps forward in Central NY

This course is not one to go out of your way for, nice if in the area or for beginners.
