Bad School Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 22, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

The course is easy to find at the school. You can see most of the baskets from the parking area. The baskets are brand new DisCatcher baskets plus they have numbers on all of the baskets!

Allegedly, there are tees sunk into the ground to make this an actual course, so if you are able to find them, then good on you and bump this rating up maybe .25 stars.

Cons:

Disc golf courses on school campuses are notorious for being plain bad, and this one may be the epitome of bad school courses.

Even if the tees were easy to spot and navigation made sense at this course, there is not a single obstacle of note beyond the chance of throwing over the fence onto the football field.

The basket to hole 1 is far from the other five baskets, making playing basket to basket impossible unless you want to play a 1,000' hole. Speaking of baskets, hole two basket sits about 15' from the school building and sidewalk, which can present some safety risks though if school is in session, you aren't playing here anyways.

Other Thoughts:

I'm tired of bad school courses. There is so much potential to generate interest in young people through having decent courses on the school property. I'm not saying that it needs to be a top-tier course, but having visible tees and a few obstacles definitely should be mandatory.

One mile away, Riverwood Middle School has a great course that is perfect for young people, but Creekwood completely misses the mark in all aspects besides some top-of-the-line baskets that are being wasted in purgatory.
