It's not awful, usually 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 16, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-- It's empty - so you can throw multiple discs, try new things, and take your time
-- It's challenging/frustrating - the holes are long (#3, #8, and #9) and the pin placements can be tough(#1 #2 and #7 in particular)
--Baskets are in decent shape

Cons:

-- It's not well maintained - Grass and weeds go unchecked for weeks at a time, if not a couple of months
--1 trashcan at the tee for #6
--Field can be treacherous to walk through, watch your ankles for holes, especially across the field for #3 and #8
--#4 Tee sign is missing. From #3's basket, head up the hill, there is a tee "barrier" buried in the grass towards the opposite end of the hill. The basket shoots across the drainage ditch towards the cluster of trees near the office building's parking lot.

Other Thoughts:

It's OK for practice rounds, I will go out and shoot it a couple times a week just because it's close. #9's basket is right near the parking lot so if you want to just go work on putting you can.

There are much better courses in the area for sure, so I would not make a special trip for this one.

2+ years drive by

Pros:

Good place to crank up the arm, and work on your distance. The baskets weren't too bad. Fun for recreational players and beginners. Just an extra stop if your visting Sims.

Cons:

I hit a tree , and green dust cloud flew out of it....no seriously it did . So its probably not good place for those bad allergy types. The only tees marked are the pro's .

Hole 7 has a Humongous land lease sign standing in the fairway. Also plays right next to a busy street

No tee pads

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 14, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

Open - good to work on long drives and power. Uncrowded the few times I've played it.

Cons:

Nothing technical to work on except a few early holes. Brown grass every time I've been there. Hard to follow some of the holes as they criss-cross each other.

Other Thoughts:

Chalk it up to experience. With Sims Park so close it's easy to understand why there's never anyone at CCA. I try to get out there every so often just to play a different "local" course, and while it's serviceable, it's not the greatest.

Decent 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 13, 2008 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Open and lets you work on long drives. Has short tees for all but hole 8 which could easily be added.

Cons:

Its only 9 holes. Open drives with some stuff by baskets making hard birdies and easy not to boogie if you have a decent arm (350).

Other Thoughts:

Additional 9 during the Cleveland Roc makes a very nice 18 but only up for 2 days a year. Again, Pro players best was 0 and there were am3s shooting only 7. Doesn't let good players take advantage of skill.
