Pros:

-Challenging wooded layout
-Three tees per hole
-Baskets in fantastic shape
-Good signage directing to next hole when I played.

Cons:

-17/18 holes have carpet tee boxes, and some of those are missing.
-Flow of the course crosses over itself twice.

Other Thoughts:

I recently went back after a year and a half to see how this course looked. It is obvious someone has been putting in time, and I appreciate their efforts. I will point out some opportunities that I think may make it better, but I am not the one putting in the work. If you have something you like, then who cares what others think? If you are doing all the work, your opinion should be all that counts.

This course has a huge amount of potential to become fantastic, but it still has some missing features to propel it to those heights.

Since I have started using UDisc, I have to be able to have accurate course info available. Since so much work has been done on the course, UDisc is no longer 100% accurate. Also, UDisc only has 2 layouts. There should be at least 3 to represent lengths at each tee pad. This may not bother some, but it drives me batty.

Even with significant navigational aids in signage, hole 2's tee pad crossing hole 9 is still one of the most awkward I have ever encountered in disc golf. The path to hole 8 still crosses back over the course as well. Arguments have been made that this is not a safety issue, but it is at least a distraction for players on a full course.

Hole 3 seems like a throw and pray hole to me. I just laid up and took a 3. Tree in hole 4's fairway seems a little excessive as well.

One major hurdle is the tee boxes. I love that there are 3 at each hole. I believe hole 11 had a concrete tee pad which was great. I just think at least the blue and white tees need formal tee pads.

I think it was tough but fair in many places. There are some high risk /high reward holes mixed in with some make-able birdies. Even though hole 6 was nothing more than an open field, I appreciated the ability to crank out one good drive during the round, and the elevated tee made it fun to watch fly.

In my opinion, this course needs to take a step back and focus on the basics. I suggest re-evaluating the flow to eliminate the need to cross over itself twice. I would solidify what the lanes are going to be and leave it alone. Then, I would add more bridges. There are already good ones here, just need more of them. In the mean time, I would get rid of the multiple pin locations and pick one good one for each hole. I would also reduce the number of tee pads from 3 to 2 or less on each hole.

Finally, this course is in dire need of an identity. There is no signature hole. The closest thing I can think of is hole 6's drive into an open field and that is not a great signature hole for a course. You need something here that makes the course unique and gives it life. Examples: Hole 7 at Tyger, the flag hole and mailbox at Holston Creek, etc. You need something that makes people talk about your place. Right now, it feels like woods, woods, woods, and that is about it.

These are my opinions, and I am just one guy. Thanks for the work that has gone on here, and let the community know if they can help drive further improvement if needed.
