Nice layout in a public park 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Feb 27, 2019 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- This course has a nice variety of throws.
- The Fairways are mowed in spring, which makes it possible to play it year round.
- The baskets are brand new and catch nicely.
- It offers some holes with water in play and all the elevation changes available in the park.
- Because of the quite good use of the provides trees and little streams, it will need good throws to play really well here, even with the holes not being really long.

Cons:

- Because the course is located in a public park, traffic is hindering sometimes. It isn't too bad, but you might have to wait a bit on some holes.
- Unfortunately there are no tee signs. But you can either find them here on DG Course Review or on the website of the club http://www.headsupfreiburg.de
- The holes are rather on the short side, and no real bombs are possible.

Other Thoughts:

Dietenbachpark DGC is the first publicly available course of Heads Up Freiburg, the local club and designed by myself and a friend of mine.

The course has a quite good flow, but some walks are in between the holes. We tried to make the flow as best as we could, but we actually had some limitation set upon us by the city council.

The tees are marked with artificial turf mats, but are a bit bumpy. It is not to hard to find them and the bumps don't hinder playing.

There are no tee signs, because the city didn't want to mowe around it. We are providing these on our website http://headsupfreiburg.de/ind...etenbachpark.You can also find the course map and the tee marker example picture there. All these together with the arrows inside of the baskets should make navigating around the course quite easy.

At the first hole of the course, or right at the parking lot, you can find a course sign.
