Pros:
Very challenging. This course weaves its way through a heavily forested area and creek. Many risk reward holes, you can either deuce it or get a 5 if your disc kicks off into the trees. A mix of tight, short holes and longer, open ones. Multiple pin placements and tees. Nice rubber tees, excellent tee signs and brand new baskets. A little elevation comes into play. Great bridges that span the small creek. The course is on a quiet college campus, you'll have the course to yourself most of the time. Trash cans throughout the course and restrooms on campus.
Cons:
Very, very thick rough. The nettles, thorn bushes, weeds and tall grass can make finding a lost disc a chore. A couple of the holes are a little TOO tight, it can be hard to find a line. Some protected basket placements make for tough putting, but that could be seen as a positive I suppose. Some areas have some loose barb wire to look out for.
Other Thoughts:
Overall this is a really solid course in a small town. Don't let the short distances fool you, several holes are very challenging and require pin point accuracy. During the summer the undergrowth is crazy, so plan on spending some time looking for your disc if you lose sight of it. I would suggest you wear long pants unless you enjoy having cut, itchy legs. The mix of holes is interesting with the course being long and open at the beginning and short and tight at the end. It is a fun course and is worth a stop if you are in the Lincoln/Beatrice area.
