Change of Pace 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 13, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-concrete pads.
-good quality baskets.
-almost every hole has tee signs.
-pretty clean course.
-great lunch-break course.

Cons:

-holes 15-18 will most likely be full of people for barbecues, family gatherings, etc. on good weather weekends.
-four maybe 5 trashcans total on the course.

Other Thoughts:

I would have rated this higher, but a course where the front nine is as short and as quick as this one is just doesn't, to me, deserve that high of a rating.
This course is great for the city of Rocky Mount which has three other 18-hole courses and a 9-hole course as well.
It is located conveniently between the Farmington course and the Sunset Park course.
Those two courses are for more seasoned players, while this is a pitch-n-putt until the back nine.
The back nine is for the big arms. Nothing too long but it is a great change from the tight, wooded front nine.

1st Run 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 19, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

- You start off in the woods struggling a little bit, than have the opportunity to open up and get your strokes back
- Park for the kids if they tag along with you

Cons:

- TREES, but you can't do anything about that. It was also quite marshy I am not from Rocky Mount so not sure what the weather has been like, But it was really bad.

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 27, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Plays well, with little effort finding boxes.

Couple holes where you can really test your drive power.

Mix of both trees and open fields make for great mixup for beginners

Cons:

Few really technical holes. Retains water easily...in some areas it gets really messy.

Pros:

Great all-around course with the first ten holes being in the woods, and the back 8 being open shots. This was the first course that I ever played and is great for beginners. There are quite a few trees in the woods, but the brush isn't very thick so losing a disc is never really a concern.

Cons:

Hole 3 doesn't really have a distinct fairway. I feel like there is no good way to throw it there. Sometimes, pick-up soccer games interfere with hole 13. Some may argue that a lack of trash cans or benches is a con, but these things never bother me.

Other Thoughts:

If you're going to play a course in Rocky Mount and don't have much time, play here.

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 6, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Can play this course pretty fast. Tees are close to pins and easy to find. Short course with some technical shots that will test your accuracy. Great for begginers. A few long holes on the back to test your driving ability. Love this course.

Cons:

Could use a few trash cans.

Other Thoughts:

Safe place to play in a good neighborhood.

Pros:

-Easy to navigate
-concrete pads
-signs on each hole
-good mix of open and wooded holes
-offers many technical shots and a couple of long holes, too
-Low traffic so you can relax and play at your own pace

Cons:

-A little wet in some areas. It hadn't rained in a least a week and the course was suprisingly wet
-A couple of holes are near playground, tennis courts, and small family pavillion. Pedestrians were a factor

Other Thoughts:

Overall this is a fun course. Not to mention there are 3 other courses all within 3 miles of Englewood Park. RECOMMENDED

Short technical 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 4, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

The first course installed in RM, a great short technical course, ideal for beginners or anyone wanting to work on their putter shots. First 13 holes play in tight woods, most of these holes are right around 200 ft. 14-18 play in the open and give the chance to let you air out a few drives

Cons:

a few wooded holes are on the fluky side, 15 is a fluky hole playing around a tennis court.

Pros:

Great beginner course.

Cons:

Can get swampy on front 9 after heavy rains.

Other Thoughts:

Great course to play if you're looking to finish in about an hour (playing w/ 2 people). Also fun to play at night. If you're lucky, the lights will be on ; on one or several of the fields, which helps a little.

Pros:

Good course to start out on. Teaches you the ropes of throwing in the woods and they aren't very long holes. Then you get to throw some bombs on the back 9. Concrete boxes and signs are always a plus.

Cons:

When it rains and the creek gets water it comes into play. Pedestrians come into play on the back 9. Thats about it. Not too many negatives.

Other Thoughts:

Good starter course. I enjoy playing it.
