Pros:

Epple Park has well maintained grass with very mature trees, a small pond and a thin stone-lined creek running through the center. The entire six hole course fits in a very small piece of land. On the course development page of the PDGAs website it says, "It's better to install a well designed, dual tee 12-hole course than it is to install a cramped, less safe 18-hole course on the same piece of land". Epple Park is a good example of getting more quality with less. There are plenty of alternative tee's that are unmarked, just ask a local. When I played, there were plenty of players getting in tosses, so a local should be easy to find.

Cons:

The most obvious con, its really short, with only six holes. Bring deet or the mosquitos will try to eat you alive. While most of the park plays about fifteen feet below street level, there is a busy street to the north to worry about, for players that lack control. There is little shot variety, mostly just ace runs. The tees are hard to find, look for numbers on small posts only about three inches high in the ground, also they are unpaved and muddy.

Other Thoughts:

"Small city park island in north Greeley used primarily for drainage features a short six hole course. Well maintained with a small pond and creek" That is the description I would have used. I think it's a shame that someone listed it in the PDGA course directory as, "Poorly marked, short and barely usable." Its as if the person who listed this course has a personal vendetta, because it is not as bad as he or she makes it sound. Poorly marked? Maybe. Short? Yes. Barely usable? I got use out of it, so did the over fifteen others that were playing it at the same time as me.
